Blogger Moms and Dads Unite!

Washing Hand-Me-Downs

No need to worry about throwing away old, stained baby clothing. You can still use it as a hand-me-down for your or a friend’s baby. With The Laundress products, getting out aged formula or baby food stains is a cinch!

BeforeOur publicist Bell is expecting her first baby this February, and her sister-in-law sent her a few hand-me-downs that will look good as new by following the below process…

Pre-treat the area with The Laundress Stain Solution directly on the stained area. You may want to use The Laundress Stain Brush for additional agitation to really work The Stain Solution into the stain.
Fill The Laundress Wash Basin or a bucket with hot water/boiling if possible. This is only for cotton and linen fabrics. Other fabrics should be washed in a tepid or cool bath.
Mix 1 capful of The Laundress Bleach Alternative Classic into the basin.

Submerge the item into the water and let soak for 1 hour. Repeat the process if you see that stains are still there.

Place the sacs on a long, hot cycle using The Laundress Baby Detergent.


AfterDo not dry unless the stain has been removed, and to prevent stains from setting in, in the future, just apply Stain Solution directly on to new stains before they are laundered.
